Evy

I first called Marvin because Evy didn't get along with dogs. I couldn't bring her within 30 feet from a dog or she was on her hind legs jumping and barking. Marvin started at the beginning with our training. Evy already knew how to sit for me and get off of furniture, etc. What I didn't realize is that Evy was still the one in control and I need to be the one in control. Marvin taught me how to be consistant, assertive, and calm. Today Evy meets knew dogs all the time and is beginning to learn her manners when other dogs walk by. Evy used to try to jump out of the window when a dog would pass our house. Now Evy sits patiently even when I'm not in the room. Thank you, Marvin!

I first came to Marvin after purchasing an English Mastiff. I had a very young child and knew that if I didn't get this beast under control from day one, there could be some real problems. I worked with Marvin who taught me that it was more about "owner training" than dog training. Being consistent, clear, and calm would make the whole process work much better for owner and dog. He was right!

Meg was a quick learner (and so was I) and now, 3 1/2 years later, I still have a well behaved member of the family. And on the eve of purchasing a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog for therapy work, I am pulling out his number and putting it back on the speed dial!
